Focus on the Family is one of our favorite resources when it comes to practical things to live by.
Mitch Temple recently wrote an article called “Togetherness: Making It Work” with four simple suggestions that are timeless:
1. Remember who brought you together:
God brought you two together with a purpose in mind.
2. Change the way you think:
Start thinking like a married person, and you’ll probably begin to feel like one.
3. Educate yourself about God’s desire for unity in your marriage:
This is where the Word comes in. Become familiar with God’s promises and practice for married life.
4. Learn from others:
Find yourselves a point of reference; a couple that lives a Godly example of what you want for the two of you.
